£2.75m plan to end empty desk crisis

Two Bangor schools are to get a £2.75m solution to their empty desk problems. Earlier this year Clandeboye and Kilcooley primaries were singled out in a review of all schools in the South Eastern Education and Library Board (SEELB) area.

Poorer children across North Down and Ards are still being 'born to fail'. These are the disturbing results revealed in the National Children's Bureau (NCB) recent report calles 'Greater Expectations: Raising aspirations for our children'.
